Unfortunately, I think for many healers, they are either unconscious of this dynamic, or they are so preoccupied with fears for financial survival, that this breeds the secret wish to foster dependency in clients. It is a guaranteed continued source of income.

I have spent a lot of time wondering what it would healers and healing look like, if none of us were worried about the money.

I have imagined a world where all more industrialized, developed countries/cultures return to a more tribal or indigenous way of relating to healers, where they are automatically supported by the community to do their work, and don’t have to hustle to get or keep clients. It would be so very different.
