A Letter From Love Itself
Dear Lover,
I am addressing all of you, when I say, “Lover”. Because, by existing, you are both Love, and a doer of Love.
I want to let you know that Valentine’s Day is a day to realize the Lover whom you really are.
Only being labelled a Lover while in a romantic relationship is such a limited context for this label to be owned and expressed.
You eat. You sleep. You cry. You moan. You beat your fists upon the pillow. You are a Lover.
You watch a morning sun’s rays peak above the desert plain. Your head is licked by the diagonal rain. Your feet become clay as you crumble into the chair at night. You are a Lover.
You feel lost, ashamed, scared, disappointed, angry, disgusted, and apathetic. You are a Lover.
There is nothing you can do that would cause you to lose your truest name.
It is the misunderstanding that you must do something more or different, and not be who you are, that causes you to know differently.
So, embrace who you are, Lover, on Valentine’s Day, because it is all about celebrating you!
Love your self, and you shall know yourself as a Lover!
Happy Valentine’s Day to you all!
❤,
Love
